Happy 3rd Birthday

Today 2 year old turns 3, that magical number when they are totally aware of everything that’s going on, what a birthday means, what presents are, and what kind of birthday cake they want, “PINK” was the brief given, the first pink cake I’ve made.  Which I must say I shall post the recipe because it has become my first choice as a base for muffins or cakes, it’s light, maintains moist for days and child’s play to make.

Two weeks ago the 3 year old wish was to go to the seaside, and her wish came true today.  We set off early happy that it wasn’t raining, picnic, towels, sun-cream, buckets & spades in the boot and two hours later we arrived only to be greeted by a very very windy sandy beach.  After spending an hour of squeezing eyes half shut even behind the windbraker, we had our picnic behind our car, which was the calmest part of the beach and came home.  No matter as the 3 year old spent time splashing her feet in water pools, pretending to be Peppa Pig splashing in muddy puddles and was so incredibly happy, it was worth coming home with sand in our ears.  We came home for Birthday cake with granddad Roy and to play with the birthday toys, and an extremely contented birthday girl went to bed.

Her favourite place in the kitchen eating strawberries.

Happy Third Birthday My Sweet Little Girl.

Sounds like a wonderful birthday! I bet she had a ball. Mmmmm strawberries – yum! And I have to say… you’re on top of things! I still have to do my 3yo’s bday post lol. Maybe this week ;)

Tell sweet little pink pea, that I sometimes come home covered in that much paint too.
Even after a walk round town, nobody tells you either.

Happy 3rd birthday from me, and enjoy your cake today too.
